Some inspiration

5 miles on the schedule today....done!!!

I was reading e-cards last night and liked these for running:
This one is especially nice considering it's my first race this season
along with being their ambassador.  That reminds me, sign up now

Always encouraging words before a marathon, don't you think?

This is one I hope I get after every marathon.  Haha!

If you have read your latest Runner's World(February 2012), I thought you would be interested to know that this picture below was taken at the warming building by the boat launch in Stony Creek Metropark that I run at most of the winter.  I'm usually there on a weekly basis and I know some of you that follow the blog have been there as well.  Very cool seeing Desi and the team there and to see one of my running spots in Runner's World.  Can't say I have ever seen Desi out there but I have seen the Hanson runners out there many times.  And you know what?  Their fast!

Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!!

  1. I love it when places I've been or races I've done are in Runner's World. In one issue they featured the JFK 50 and I recognized the yellow and black fleece I was wearing on that day. Too bad all they got was my right shoulder and arm.

  3. I loved the Runner's World article on Desi. Flotrack has been putting out some great videos covering the Hansons runners as well, with more glimpses of Stony. The videos show their paths to the Olympic trials. I'm really interested to see how Desi and the others do on Saturday.

  4. I did get a chance to read that article. Great writeup that will hopefully give the running scene in Detroit a little boost. It is amazing how fast these people go... I am just happy to finish.
