2012 race schedule already?

5 miles on the schedule....done!

---------------

It's feeling like September here in Michigan.  Really nice running weather.  Unfortunately it's not going to last and is expected to get cold very soon.

--------------

Have you done your 2012 race schedule already?  Wait, didn't we just finish the running season for 2011?  I think I'm pretty close to deciding what I want to run.  Here's what I'm looking at right now:

4/22 Glass City Half(Toledo) or Lansing Half Marathon
5/20 Qualifier Half(Midland)
5/26 Bayshore Half(Traverse City)
6/3 Dexter to Ann Arbor
6/23 Charlevoix Half
8/25 Crim 10 mile(Flint)
10/7 Brooksie Way Half(Rochester) - Training run only
10/21 Grand Rapids Full or Detroit Full

Of course, I'm not planning on running three half marathons in a row in May so I will likely take out either Qualifier or Bayshore but I won't decide until I have to sign up for Bayshore in December.

Question of the day?  Are your ready to race already???

Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!

  1. This is a funny post...

My season has barely started and you are already talking about next year. Of course that's the difference between running in Michigan and running in Texas!

  2. I don't really plan in advance for races. I generally only race locally, so when I see there's going to be a race, I sign up. Your 2012 looks awesome.

  3. I started to plan out my race schedule for next year but something unexpected has happened that will affect next years races. Look for a post sometime next week about it. :-)

Anyway, here is what I am definitely running next year.

-2/2012 (unsure of the day) Riverview Winter Fest 4 miler
-3/28/12 Rock CF half (my husbands first half!)
    -4/16/12 Boston Marathon

The rest of the year is up in the air. I hope to be able to tackle DWD 50K in WI in July, DWD 50M in Hell, MI in September and Detroit Full in October.

  4. So any 5K or 10K is just impromptu?

  5. I'm jealous that you're that far ahead of the game. I really need to sit down and figure mine out.

  6. You are on top of it!

I am still very undecided. I think I will run the Lansing Half Marathon as well, and definitely the Capital City River Run again in September.

I've heard good things about Grand Rapids! That would be a fun one to try since you have already run Detroit.
