Tuesday meal series

5 miles on the schedule today.  It was 17 mph winds.  A fun run......yeah.

----------------------
So I decided to keep my meal series on Tuesday.  It seems to work better for me.

So, yes, one of the things I miss are French fries.  My wife found this great recipe a few years ago and we love it - including the kids.

Oven Roasted Potatoes/Fries
3 large baking potatoes
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt

Peel potatoes and cut into 1 1/2 inch strips to look like a fat French fry.  Toss in plastic ziplock bag with olive oil, garlic, and salt.

Spray baking sheet with oil and wipe off excess. Place potatoes in a single layer and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes(almost always takes longer though - just watch them) until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.

You can also double the recipe which is what my wife normally does.  We don't have these all the time but they are a nice side to your turkey or veggie burgers.
