Marathon week #10 complete

I'm not sure where I've been getting my weeks from but I just finished week #10 of an 18 week training plan.  I missed a week somewhere in there?  Holy crap!  Only 7 more weeks left for my next marathon.  Here's how my week ended:

Yes, you are reading that right, I'm up to 41+ miles for the week with a rest day and a yoga day in there.  This is close to the max miles I'll do for this schedule and so far it seems to be working for me.  I feel like I'm getting stronger and stronger each week and I'd rather go into this marathon being undertrained than feeling overtrained.

I ended this week with a nice 17 miler over at Highland State Recreation area.  For those of you in the area looking for hills, this is the place to go.  You will find them here.
Highland trails
Not only did I finish one of my hardest training runs this year - it was hot, humid and hilly but I also appropriately finished the Gone For a Run Virtual race.  The Badass 5 miler!  It felt Badass too and I felt really accomplished to finish this training run so it was nice to get a medal for it.  Haha!  Check out this sweet medal that I got for the virtual run!
Bad Ass Runner
No actual races this past week but I do have a race coming up on Saturday - Flirt with Dirt 10k.  It will be my first time running it and I plan to run it as a training run and NOT race this since I've got a big run the next day.

  1. Come on you should be fine if you work that 10 at a good pace... you should recover intime and it's good training!
