Next up - Oil Creek 50k!!!!


Well it's finally here.  Yes, my first 50k, the Oil Creek 50k.  I'm sure you're tired of hearing about it.  I'm going into this with one goal and one goal only - to finish.  This is an extremely difficult 50k and I probably don't have any business even doing this race for my first 50k.  I'm freaking out and excited all at the same time.  It should be an epic race and I'm happy to be able to go with two of my running buddies to share the experience.

We are the only three from Michigan doing the race.  Yes, that's right - just us!  Haha!

The top map shows the park with the elevation showing the aid stations and specific hills.  Crazy I tell you, crazy!

If I meet my goal, I'll be rewarded with my first finishers belt buckle:

I'll have a full race review next week sometime....assuming I don't get eaten by a bear.

    That is some harsh elevation...you sure don't back away from a good challenge. :) Good luck, be careful, and enjoy!
