The Networkingout Run

I thought I'd share this great event put on by Networking Out.  I cannot make it that day but sounds like a fun idea to get to know some more people for your career.  Why not meet them in a social setting like running?  It also happens to be sponsored by one of my favorite running store, RUNdetroit too!  Check it out:

Registration is now open for the Networkingout 4.01K & 10K Run!  This Run (or walk or jog) is all about you - your career, your health, your network.  Need a theme?  Have one!  Throw on your running gear and our cool run shirt, pin on our name tag-like run bib, and throw on an item you’d wear to work.  And take it all in.  Networkingout-style.

Participants are encouraged to donate lightly worn items of professional attire to the less fortunate.  Have items that are too big?  Donate.  Too many seasons ago?  Donate.  Too dusty?  Donate.  Too small?  Keep it and use it as motivation to be the best you!  We’re donating lightly worn items of professional clothing to four nonprofits:

1. Jackets for Jobs (Detroit)
2. Dress for Success Michigan (Ypsilanti)
3. In the Image (Grand Rapids)
4. The Dream Center (Kalamazoo).

Run day festivities will start at 8AM and conclude with music, networking, and refreshments at the Post-Run Happy Hour.
